Encounter — Ase Torralba
The dream team, Antonio & Paloma, joined the first Abstract Sessions in Anderlecht last year. Just days later, we invited them to our city and they transformed a quiet, hidden green corner in Ghent into a living canvas.
As curious neighbors passed by, we met Dieter and Sofie, whose home looks out over the park. They had been dreaming of a mural for some time — waiting for the right moment. That moment arrived unexpectedly.
A spontaneous conversation turned into a plan, and suddenly street art entered their backyard. Antonio began shaping the wall with his signature contemporary style, drawing inspiration from stained-glass windows and Art Deco geometry. Architectural lines became flowing forms. Urban abstraction met residential space. The result: a bold mural that echoes the character of the house while bringing fresh energy to the neighborhood.
This is what we love about street art and murals they grow from real encounters, transform overlooked spaces, and connect people through creativity.
Huge thanks to Dieter & Sofie for the trust, care, and warm hosting.
