Wallin’ Walls:
The Current
This project, 'The Current', is a rotating wall project that Wallin' has been managing for five years now. Located on the Ajuinlei, in the heart of the City of Ghent, the wall stands prominently along the waterway that runs through the city.
With a size of 4 meters by 5 meters, the wall is a unique challenge. The medium size often appears smaller when viewed from across the water, making it a deceptively demanding canvas for artists. Over the years, we have occasionally opened up the wall as a testing ground for local talent, giving emerging artists the opportunity to prove that they are ready, sometimes with mixed results.
Every year we invite a selection of artists to take care of this canvas. This year, we're renewing our commitment to providing both established and emerging artists with a platform. The project continues to highlight the diversity of graffiti styles and aerosol techniques, showcasing the evolution and creativity within the art form.
Everyone is welcome to apply and present themselves as candidate.

About the
Artists
This skilled calligraffiti artist from Brussels reinterprets Gothic letters and transforms them into the building blocks of geometric and colourful works, which almost look like mandalas. Black, white and gold are colours that regularly recur in his work and contribute to the mystical atmosphere. The artist discovered calligraphy during his travels through Asia, after which he completely shaped this style of writing. Oriental cultures are a great source of inspiration for him. Anyone who takes the time can even find the 'Ohm' symbol and other references to spiritual wisdom in his murals.
Resto (1961) palmed our country with a storm of gigantic, loving, warped, modern and mythical wonder. With vivid colors he dances through styles. He portrays giants and insane living machines, always with a wink and a comic twist. They have become infamous for their sheer size and epic nature.
Xuas's paintings seem to come from a fantasy world. This experienced graffiti artist is known for his enchanting use of colour and imaginative scenes that immediately make you dream. Both on small and large surfaces his colourful style comes into its own.
