Summer in a bottle

De Omgekeerde Wereld, the pub opposite the Vooruit, had not been able to open a terrace for three summers due to works in front of their door. They started looking for a place where they could set up a terrace and found an old bottle factory in Ledeberg near the Schelde.

The pub wanted to transform the 700-800 m² site into a cosy summer bar where young and old could enjoy workshops, music, sports and much more every day. To make the terrace of De Flesjesfabriek attractive, they wanted to transform the bare wall into a grand eye-catcher. Together, we went to look for an artist that suited their style and concept.

Lobster Robin got to work on a wall of 140m² and painted his biggest mural to date in the theme of the summer bar. He was given complete carte blanche and creatively integrated their wishes. The character, who is surrounded by bottles, releases the summer from the bottle. Just as De Flesjesfabriek brings the summer to the old bottle factory.

Planned For Demolition
